Following the first level workshops delivered in 2003 and 2008, there has been a consistent demand for further development of the DBM Hypnosis and Meditation model as well as for more entry level workshops.

This workshop is exactly that – new developments and further applications of the highly successful first level workshop to run hand in glove with the new edition of the level one workshop scheduled for February 2009 (see below on this page).

As it is a continuation and further development of the first level workshop it is a requisite for admission that course participants have previously attended one of the prior workshops (2003, 2008 or February 2009).

After experiencing and integrating the first level model this workshop will lead to a much deeper understanding and more advanced practical use of hypnosis and meditation.

Meditation is the systematic cultivation of resourceful states. Through the modelling methodology of Developmental Behavioural Modelling DBM® and thirty years exploring meditation and hypnosis, John McWhirter has developed an integrated process that combines the individual benefits of meditation and hypnosis, creating more than the sum of the parts, offering a development tool to assist in a holistic approach to learning and personal development.

It will make a very big difference to most people from all walks of life and all kinds of professional backgrounds.

Two very useful processes for understanding and developing yourself are hypnosis and meditation. Sadly they are both often carried out ritualistically and without very much sense of exploration. Taken together and developed together they can constitute a very powerful approach to creativity, problem setting and solving, life enhancement, self understanding and many other issues apart from the more obvious stress management and the like.

“Learning is a defining human experience”. In other words one of the central experiences which differentiates humans is the way in which we learn.

With DBM® we can describe the all the processes used in both learning and teaching as well as creating new possibilities. Rather than applying a generic theory we can identify the uniqueness of each individual learner and teacher. We can identify how all the different learning types fit together including “learning to Learn” (Bateson) that greatly improves the ability for future learning. We can also identify in detail the various ancillary processes like motivation and core skills like concentration and memory and improve them.

This course, probably the most advanced training available in the subject matter – certainly based on the most advanced and complete modelling – will help you develop the core skills necessary to learn and teach effectively (really) and to help others to do so.

Este blog pretende fomentar mayor divulgación de la metodología de modelado DBM a una comunidad internacional. Los dos países donde más formación se hace en DBM son el Reino Unido y España y muchos de los cursos que ofrecemos en España los ofrecemos en inglés y castellano.  Aquí publicaremos información acerca de los cursos que hacemos en los dos idiomas.

The purpose of this blog is to spread the word about DBM  to a wider international community. The countries in which most DBM training takes place at present are the UK and Spain. In Spain much of the training offered (and all the actual DBM training as opposed to applications) is presented in English with Spanish translations.
